squinting my eyes and bobbing my head to look at blue skies hidden by the bustle of the city.

night comes again

everyone in the city seems to be headed somewhere. isn't that just exciting?

it was like a rainbow..............

today this stretched across the sky like a rainbow...........
i didn't have my regular camera, just my cell phone camera.......
not quick enough to get a panoramic shot, so use the imagination...........

clearing the mind..........

days away from life, away from work, home, the phone, the everyday routine of living.........

i want to sit here and soak it in, but i know someone is waiting, someone is impatient, someone wonders why did i go.....................

so i enjoy it for a while, reluctantly getting up and taking a step, one step of many that will slowly bring me back to where i began this journey, the journey to get away..........

arizona when i noticed this brilliant cloud.

don't look down

when i look up and see a sky like this, my heart aches a little.

because i know that when i look down again, and turn my head, there is no one to share it with, no one to say, 'hey what a beautiful sky,' to.

this view took my breath away. it was there, just there, waiting to be captured.

i see it coming. from far away. and what can i do? brace for impact? board up the windows? no. let it come. let it come.

ten minutes before it rained

i closed my eyes and i felt the wind around me. strong, threatening. wonderful.
i closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
i reached out my hand hoping that you would take it.
and then it came. the thunder. the flashes of light.
i reached out my hand and felt the air, the wind, the threat of no one there.



and then the rain came.
