ten minutes before it rained

i closed my eyes and i felt the wind around me. strong, threatening. wonderful.
i closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
i reached out my hand hoping that you would take it.
and then it came. the thunder. the flashes of light.
i reached out my hand and felt the air, the wind, the threat of no one there.



and then the rain came.
